About Us

Welcome, Welcome, Welcome -- to the Old Fort York Website

Old Fort York, serving the Greater Toronto Area, is the largest urban-based section of the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group. We are a group of men and women whose interest is vintage and modern motorcycles. Collectively we own well over 300 newish and old bikes, of all ages, sizes and from every motorcycle manufacturing country.  We ride, race, tour, wrench, renovate, fabricate, customize, restore, buy, sell, collect, write, read, talk, celebrate and dream—the focus is on motorcycles.

We stay in touch through this FB page, plus the Official Email list, which is used for important notices and reports of concern to all section members. The club has an active social element. Meetings are held monthly including in the summer when members host BBQ get togethers, there is a monthly beer and wings night, and we have a 20 year tradition of the weekly Sunday breakfast. Bikes and motorcycle conversation are front and centre at these meetings.

We like to ride, so if the weather is suitable members will be on the road in planned rides to eateries out of town. We prefer to ride the roads less-travelled and stay off the superslabs. Once each Spring and Fall we follow the OFY tradition of much longer, overnight rides to the north, east, or west.

OFY has some great traditions, including a jolly Christmas party where section awards are given out, the annual CVMG national rally at Paris, and the August Vintage Bike Races. Our signature event is the world-famous Lucas Push, held in the deep winter of a February Saturday night. Look under the Meetings and Events headings for more information.
